North Bay - The Conseil scolaire public du Nord-Est de l’Ontario (CSPNE) is pleased to announce that the community of Parry Sound will benefit from a new high school starting in September 2021.

During the February 25 Board meeting, trustees voted in favor of the proposal. This extension of high school programming is the result of a request submitted by Francophone and Francophile parents in the Parry Sound area. In September 2021,  École publique aux Quatre-Vents will welcome Grade 9 students.

According to Mr. Simon Fecteau, Director of Education, this decision confirms the need for French-language public education in this region. "Until École publique aux Quatre-Vents opened its doors in September 2019, we couldn’t imagine how important it would become for families to be able to provide a French-language education - from kindergarten to Grade 12 - to their children. The CSPNE is committed to providing quality education that promotes the well-being and success of all students. »

To register at École publique aux Quatre-Vents, you can do so by visiting the school's website at https://quatre-vents.cspne.ca/ or by contacting aux Quatre-Vents’s Principal, Mme Joanne Héroux Farrow at 705-996-3223 or by email at joanne.herouxfarrow [a] cspne.ca (j)oanne.herouxfarrow [a] cspne.ca.

In accordance with universal values, the CSPNE covers an area of 46,453 km2 and provides the communities of Timmins, Iroquois Falls, Kapuskasing, Hearst, Temiskaming Shores, Sturgeon Falls, North Bay and Parry Sound with quality French-language education. Close to 2,200 northeastern Ontario students have chosen French-language public schools.
