Day of thanks and gratitude!

Journée du public - MERCI!

Northeastern Ontario - On Wednesday, December 10, the School Community of Conseil scolaire public du Nord-Est de l’Ontario (CSPNE) had a day of recognition and pride.

For the fifth year in a row, CSPNE schools are celebrating "We Say THANK YOU!".  The purpose of this day is to take the time to thank a friend, parent, teacher, school staff member, colleague or community member who has had a positive effect on us.

Students and staff wore yellow - the theme color for the occasion that represents energy - and exchanged messages of appreciation using the virtual cards available on the CSPNE website that display the cards offered by the participants.  More than 1,000 messages have been posted on the CSPNE website since Public Day 2020.  The CSPNE community is part of this initiative, which brings together the province's four French-public school boards.

In addition to virtual posts, an important partnership between the teaching team and the communications sector offers organized activities to provide an authentic experience that encourages students and staff to experience learning in connection with recognition and gratitude.

Lastly, the CSPNE takes this opportunity to thank the students, families and staff who chose the French-language public education system in Ontario.  Thank you for trusting us and teaming up with us!

In accordance with universal values, the CSPNE covers an area of 46,453 km2 and provides the communities of Timmins, Iroquois Falls, Kapuskasing, Hearst, Temiskaming Shores, Sturgeon Falls, North Bay and Parry Sound with quality French-language education. Close to 2,200 northeastern Ontario students have chosen French-language public schools.
