North Bay, Ontario - Le Conseil scolaire public du Nord-Est de l’Ontario (CSPNE) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Renée Baril as Finance Director, effective September 20, 2021.
Ms. Baril holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McMaster University and has been a professional accountant for over 25 years. She has extensive knowledge and experience in financial and cost accounting. She has strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and has experience working in both the private and institutional sectors, positioning her well to lead the CSPNE’s Finance Department.
A resident of the Kapuskasing region and a professor at Université de Hearst since 2015, Ms. Baril joins the CSPNE team with boundless energy and and a wealth of expertise. Moreover, her community involvement in several francophone and bilingual groups is indicative of her desire to share her knowledge and achieve tangible results.
Associate Director of Education Yves Laliberté stated being very proud to have the opportunity to welcome Ms. Baril to the team. “We are confident that she will be able to ensure the smooth operation of the CSPNE’s Finance Department while being aligned with the strategic plan and helping to maintain optimal organizational health.”
Ms. Baril’s appointment marks the completion of the Conseil scolaire public du Nord-Est de l’Ontario’s restructuring process of the Finance Department.
In accordance with universal values, the CSPNE covers an area of 46,453 km2 and provides the communities of Timmins, Iroquois Falls, Kapuskasing, Hearst, Temiskaming Shores, Sturgeon Falls, North Bay and Parry Sound with quality French-language education. Close to 2,200 northeastern Ontario students have chosen French-language public schools.
